Hey man, I apologize, this comes way too late to help you, but for anyone else going to take the test: I was in the same boat for sure. I was scoring about 42/43 consistently during practice tests, making more errors on SC than anything else, and I say - the way forward is definitely as you mentione...

I also entirely agree with Rich. If you're shooting for a 50 or 51, you really need to be asking yourself: Why are you getting any questions wrong in the first place? Is it because of timing? Problems too hard to figure out? Silly mistakes? At 49, I think you're capable of solving every single GMAT ...

I've found Manhattan Gmat's challenge questions the most helpful. It can get really hairy, you definitely need a lot of practice and keep your cool, but if you can get them right 60% or more (on average) on those challenge questions within 2:00 each, you should be good to go for a 50/51 on the Quant...

I don't think MGMAT tests are quite as reflective, for several reasons. 1) IR sections is much more involved/complicated in Manhattan GMAT tests. Just the mental drain from doing this section can take away from your score in the later sections. 2) Quantitative is, as most people say, much more convo...

What did you do to master SC and increase your verbal all the way to 47? That is ridiculously impressive. For SC, I read Manhattan GMAT's Sentence Correction guide, and also learned some concepts while I was taking a Knewton course. In retrospect, I think the Manhattan Guide was far more comprehens...

780 (Q51 V47)

Hey guys, I took the GMAT this past weekend, and I scored a 780. Firstly, I'd like to thank Beat the GMAT for helping me study. I experienced a steady linear progression with Knewton's CATs, with nearly identical scores on Manhattan GMAT and GMAT Prep. MGMAT: 750 Knewton Diagnostic: 750 Knewton 1: 760 Knewton 2: 770 GMATPrep 1: 770 Knewton 3: 780 I believe that Knewton's CATs have a theoretically accurate algorithm for compu...

Hey Arun, Well, you're right in that I've been consistently scoring a 770, a score I'd be happy with for the business schools I want to apply to. My primary concern/motivation for continued improvement, is, what score I'd get on a bad day. I want to mitigate the effects of such a possible bad day by...

Study plan for high-level Verbal / Math

Hi BTG community! I humbly come seeking advice on my study plan for the GMAT, which I take in 3 weeks. I've been studying for the GMAT for about two months or so, and I'm doing well so far, getting consistent scores I'd be happy with on test day across several practice tests from different companies...
