I did the usual trick of calculating both circular areas and subtract, but that did not help!
A circular cloth with a diameter of 20 inches is placed on a circular tray with a diameter of 24 inches. What fraction of the tray’s surface is NOT covered by the cloth?

Q - At a certain shop, 1/3 of the pets are dogs and 1/5 of the pets are birds. How many of the pets are dogs?
1) There are 30 birds at the pet shop
2) There are 20 more dogs than birds at the pet shop
Answer is D, I get statement 1 but I can't make anything out of statement 2?

First of all, thanks for all you replies, I cant be blamed for thinking of giving up I gave in a lot of time and sacrifice for a “test” and still back to sqr1!! Just hate the fact that this will make me consider 3rd round to top schools, which is suicide I heard.
