I find the suggestion regarding Data Sufficiency to be a double-edged sword. For timing, I agree, you do not need to find exactly that x = 5 or whatever, but you have to work the problem until you are sure that there will be a unique answer. I cautious this because some questions, especially as they...

For future reference: It is not a bad idea to search the site for related questions before you post. There are a lot of them that have been answered in the past (especially the GMAT Prep)

Question The question is asking for the ratio of flower to sugar (let's call Flower, F, and Sugar, S). So we need to find F/S = ??? You seem to understand that I. is sufficient first, but let's see it: I. Cups of flower is 250% of cups of sugar. therefore -> F = 2.5S -> F/S = 2.5 We have the ratio ...

Question For the two equations (mv and pv) to be less than zero, then one of the variables MUST be negative and one MUST be positive. So, either v is negative and both m and p are positive, or v is positive and both m and v are negative. Statement 1 m < p This doesn't give us anything useful on its...

moonlite wrote:Sorry about that... It should read:

If x is an integer, what is the value of X?

1) -2(x+5) <1> 9

2) -3x > 9

But i think i figured out why the answer is C and not D.

Congratulations, molt! Enjoy being done. Don't worry about taking it again unless you really feel it is worth it and you can get your money's worth.

Was the test everything you expected? How were the questions, difficulty, timing?

As presented, I want to say that the answer should be 13 / 2^14 convert them all into 2/^15 (common denominator) 2^3/2^15 + 2^3 / 2^15 + 6 / 2^15 + 4 / 2^15 = (8+8+6+4)/2^15 -combine under the common denominator = 26 / 2^15 -adding all numerators, you get 26 = (13 * 2) / 2^15 -factor 26 to find a fa...
