I can see where I went wrong - I think I was looking at the question as the difference between 6th and 4th year was equal to 1/5. The wording of the question is throwing me off still because it says the 6th year is 1/5 greater than the 4th year and have expressed that as 6th year = (4+4d) +1/5(4+4d)...

GMAT Prep #2 Quant help!

So I did the GMAT Prep #2 yesterday and this question has been messing with my head every since. I'm not sure if I'm not seeing it right but I have no clue how they managed to get to the answer at all. I happen to be reviewing the questions before my exam (tomorrow) and I can't seem to solve this on...

So I think you might have done what I did after I finished my first GMAT prep test. After you finished the test, it probably showed you a window with the scores and as you went on it should you how many questions were correct/incorrect. The issue is if you closed that window, there is no way now to ...

Thanks! I was really surprised and hopefully it'll only get better. I took enough time to analyze my answers and hopefully with enough practice in all the areas I'm weak in, I'll get better.

GMAT Prep # 2

So having completed almost all the MGMAT books (except Sentence Correction - working on it currently), I decided to take the second test to see where I stand since I'm currently a month away from my test. My base score was 400 (24Q, 21V) and my new score was 550 (42Q, 24V) - second time taking it af...

Pacing

I was just reviewing how much ground I had covered and wanted to check if I was pacing myself appropriately so far. I am taking my GMAT on Sept 29th and so far I've finished all of MGMAT Quant and MGMAT Critical Reasoning (2 chapters into Reading comprehension). I took the GMAT Prep #1 test in the b...

That calms me down a little. I was going to take the GMAT Test #1 for the second time after I finished the MGMAT Quant and OG Quant questions. I wanted to check if there was any improvement after doing practice questions. Would you suggest I try one now without finishing the OG Quant questions or af...

Error log and Improvement chart

I took a variation on the 60 day guide and finished all the MGMAT Quant books and now I'm working on the OG 12 sample PS questions. When I did my first 40 questions, I found that I finished it in 1 hr 5 mins (only 2 mistakes). When I worked on the next 40, it took me 1 hr 14 mins (8 mistakes - 5 car...

Thanks for the video! As it turns out, I did answer a couple of things inaccurately as after I completed at least half the data sufficiency questions I realized that I assumed option E was option C. So I did set up my own traps by racing through it because I was a little worried about being able to ...

Day 3 - GMATPrep

So I did something that I'm hoping to rectify (which on hindsight I'm starting to see was very stupid) having completed the GMATPrep Test. I finished the GMATPrep test and briefly had 'reviewed' what I scored correctly and incorrectly. What I had planned was to thoroughly check what questions went r...

I feel like this question might have already been asked in many different ways but I wanted to clarify. I'm currently starting the 60 day GMAT study guide and was wondering if the Manhattan 4th Ed Study Guide Set would work just as well as the 5th edition? I'm aware that it's missing the IR section ...
