haha, that's funny. There's another GMAT board I was on, and everyone there was complaining about Kaplan and suggesting GMATPrep, OG and PR instead. I honestly just think those materials are so much better. I think Kaplan is good if you want tough practice questions, but practically everyone says no...

There is no legitimate comparison. The CAT is adaptive and your score is based on which questions you get right. The paper test is linear. So you truly can't compare.

100 minutes to figure out how to start prepping for the GMAT is a bit much! Until you actually start your prep, you won't process a lot of what you're reading...you won't relate to it. There's great info there, but honestly, you just need to get a good review book and dig in, then start doing practi...

IMHO PR is a lot better than Kaplan for strategy and for the quality of its practice tests. I didn't even consider Kaplan for an online course.

Kaplan tests are notoriously hard and not very much like the real thing. Do the GMATPrep tests and Princeton Review tests...you'll surely crack 600!

And definitely plan on spending a good amount of time on the OG. It's a must.

I agree...also take the Princeton Review tests, because they come with full answer explanations for each question. I found that to be extremely helpful.
