690: ok score and ready to move on
This is the second time I've taken the GMAT. In late August, I got a 660. Today I got a 690/Q44/V40. My percentile jumped from 86th to 91st. I'm glad I got a better score but I wish I could have just gotten a 700. Psychologically, this would have been really nice for me although I realize 10 points ...

Not good at these
I'm glad you put this question up because I'm really not very good at rate/time/distance questions especially when they involve different variables, times, etc. My guess is that the answer is A, 12 m/s. At first I was trying to figure out what runner A's time (T) was but I couldn't get it to work. B...

Yep, i think it is D too.
AB
+ CD since B+D=AA and AA has to be 11 (can't be 22).
-------
AAA
then A+C+A= 2+C= AA (11) so C=9.
aim-wsc is right! i think. what is the OA?

neeleshkhadse is absolutely correct. Using the word "yet" allows the sentence to make more sense. one more thought though. we can tell this is not a question that tests parallel verb tenses because the subject is in the singular " A peculiar feature..." If we were listing feature...

Don't always agree with the CR's logic
The first question is fairly straight-foward. Unlike the wrong answers, the correct answer is directly relevant to the situation of company X--usually mergers cause a few defections but nothing to worry about in the long term. Last year, two drownings occurred at Lake Serene, so this year the lake's...

Thanks guys. I'm going to buy the OG Quant Review and work through those problems again and again and in a more systematic fashion. I'm also going to actually study for the verbal section. i am positive that most if not all my incorrect answers were in the sentence correction questions--toward the e...

Took the GMAT today 660--dissapointed
660, 86th percentile: Verbal 41, 90th percentile; Quant 40 64th percentile My overall score is okay but i wanted an 80th percentile/80 percentile split. I was wondering if anyone knows what the lowest raw score is for 80th percentile in the math section. 45? i'm going to take it again! I didn't even...

Don't worry! Just try again.
I just got a very similar score: 660, 86th percentile. However, unlike you I did well on the verbal, 40, 90th percentile and poorly on the math, 41, 64th percentile. Also, like you, i got a lot of strange inequality questions and i also got a lot of data sufficiency questions--a few more than i expe...
