Is sqrt of (x-3)^2 = 3-x (1) x is not equal to 3 (2) - x | x | > 0 Answer is B: This is how i solved it.. You can reduce the left side of the equation to |x-3|. From 1 and 2

(x-y)/(x+y) > 1
1. x>0
2. y<0>
This is how i solved:
->x-y > x + y ??
-> y< 0 ??
so the answer should be B. But it turns out that my solution is wrong.. anyone know why we can't solve like this ?

Using the noteboard instead of scratch paper..
So, does anyone know if one is forced to use the noteboard thing in the real GMAT instead of the scratch paper ? or do we have a choice ? Is it a clumsy to use the noteboard ?
