A long journey from 540 to 710.. perserverance and hard work

Dear All, Yesterday, I took my second attempt at GMAT and scored 710( Q50/V35 and IR 3). I have hardly contributed much to this awesome forum but, have received lot of motivation and guidance from the experts and other fellow members. I would finally like to thank "beat the gmat" community...

Thanks a lot Mitch. I understood it now, I was some how confused with the wording of the problem. It took x years BEFORE y happened means that y happened AFTER x years had passed. Here, Type A planes constituted less than half the fleet at the end of the 9th year. At the end of the 9th year, 9 years...

Hi Patrick,
I didn't understand the example " Wrong: She took books with herself on the plane. ("with herself" is not the object of the verb, but rather the object of books)"
How is herself the object of books?? Can you please help me to understand it.
