Bought "Navigating" videos, but still have a quest
I purchased the "Navigating the MBA Admissions Process" videos, and so far have been very happy with the content. However, when reviewing the essay segment, there was no answer to a slightly more specific question I have about my essay. I graduated from a smaller university with a 3.88 GPA...

Advice about an Olin Application
I will be applying to Olin this fall for the 2013 program, and I finished my GMAT today. I got a 690, but my primary concern is that I had a 41 verbal but only a 44 quant. My undergrad is in accounting where I did finish with a 3.88 GPA, but it was with an unknown school. I have 10 years of military...

kellogs, I would say that it depends on when you plan on taking the GMAT. If you are trying to get in before June, I strongly recommend the OG 12th edition, and I would use last years Manhattan books. The test is undergoing some significant changes in June, with a new section replacing one of the An...

GMAT 2012 from someone who tested the new section
After taking the GMAT today, I felt obligated to give back to this community that did so much to help me gain a competitive score (I got a 690, yay!). Part of taking the GMAT today was answering 12 questions that did not contribute to my score, but were in the new format for the upcoming change in J...

Your math on 35*35 is off... see my post aboveGARGURI wrote:It must be solve as (35^2 - 1) because in the other form 35^2 - 1 there are many wrong answers so you have to assume the form.
35x35 -1/k >> 1125-1= 1124 , with this number you can't answer the question.

35^2 - 1 = 1225 - 1 = 1224/k prime factorization for 1224 is 2*2*2*3*3*17 A: 8 = 2*2*2 B: 9 = 3*3 C: 12 = 2*2*3 D: 16 = No possible solution E: 17 = 17 The only answer without the correct prime is D Incidentally enough, for those who do not know the trick, there is a VERY easy way to solve for any 2...

When a positive integer x is divided by a positive integer y, the remainder is 9. If x/y=96.12 what is the value of y. How does one go about solving this question? If we think about remainders and decimals, we start to understand that the remainder of a division problem can be expressed as the valu...

I have to agree with the OP that the formula given on this problem was completely misleading. I even had the right answer but continued to plug into the formula given and kept ending up with A instead of B . This is the type of question I fear the most on the GMAT because it makes me second guess fo...

Looking for a good lesson on coordinate geometry
I have the Kaplan books (which are worthless for coord geometry) and the OG (not much better). I am looking for a resource (preferably online and free) that has good detail in this subject, as I did terribly on my 60-day homework today. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You get a terminating decimal only when the denominator contains factors of 2 or 5 or 2*5 (in any powers). All other numbers in the denominator produce recurring decimal.eg(3,5,7,9,11 etc) 128 is 2^7. So thats a terminating decimal. All other options have other numbers in written in their base form...
