Probably me only weak section in the application. I am definitely aiming for 700 to eliminate all weaknesses in my application. Just cant ...

The GMAT truly beat me.
Just finished my GMAT an hour ago. The battle was going pretty even till i hit the verbal section where GMAT finally had enough to beat me. Dammit. I just scored a 640. After scoring 670 and 680 in the two GMATPrep tests. But i have to say the actual GMAT was actually tougher.!!!! I heard people who...

sorry for the delay hmm, 12u = 8y + 12, with y = 1 is 20 therefore 2 is common divisor, thats why i was confused... i cant see the mistake daniel OK.. so i will try to detail it out.: If X and Y are positive intergers such that X = 8Y + 12, what is the common divisor of X and Y? 1) X=12u where u is...

So i have scored 46 in the quant part. The questions were similar to the GMAT ones, but way easier. It's ok to practice but not an accurate score predictor. hope this helps I am glad u mention that the score is not an accurate predictor. I also just finished a PR CD test 2... got 35/37 quant questi...

Well, actually those were the first tests i took -because i was told that were the easiest ones. I tend to agree to that idea; but if you had a 51Q, you must be very happy!. You can apply maybe a 30% of security margin :) I am planning to retake one Princeton now that i have a larger GMAT experienc...

Coz what if y = 1. then 2 is not a common divisor or even 4.dblazquez wrote:Hey, i was also trying to solve this good one
Why on the statement I we can state that you cannot get a common divisor from 12u = 8y + 12, what about 2 and four?

Hey if u dont mind my asking you. how did u do on the Princeteon review CD tests? and how did u do on the actual GMAT. are the scores on the PR a little lower than what u expect on GMAT? I know no one can answer that perfectly, but i'd still like to get a rough estimate. I just took the first PR CD ...

Good one. putting in first data to the above equation gets us: 12u = 8 y + 12 (u cannot get a common divisor from this). putting in second data provided we get: x = 8* 12 z + 12 . So we know 12 divides X for sure, and we also know y is a multiple of 12. So 12 is the common divisor. Hope i made sense...
