Answer is A but what if X is -1/2?
Then X square is 1/4 and greater than x. I think the right answer is C.

I would go with B.For me,the flaw in the sentence is the probability that other sources may contrubute to the damage of buildings as much as exhaust gases.B eleminates this probability
