I cudn't find anything wrong with choice A .... In fact, given a choice b/w A and C, I wud choose A B'coz coupling of two things may be in positive OR negative manner ... so can't be sure... but when u say justify.. it is always in positive sense..... So IMO A Experts.. plz comment... Ignore

IMO B. Point very well raised about and. However, remember the rule to have the best choice not the ideal one. But conclusively, GMAT would not want to leave these kind of grammatical error for sure. As this might make a competent GMAT student not to opt for this and other possible choice. :) Hmm.....
