My understanding is that MIT was a more challenging acceptance than Johnson based on marks/GMAT etc.

R1 vs R2 Applications
I'm planning my applications for 2013. I have five schools that I'm looking to apply to but I'm torn about what order (i.e. R1 vs R2) I want to apply for. I'm looking at applying to: MIT, Kellogg, LBS, Ross and Johnson. I've listed them in declining order of where I feel I might get accepted. In ter...

Thanks for the response. How early can you really start your applications though? Don't most schools not release the questions for that year's application until mid-summer? Hi, I was hoping I could get your opinion on a few questions which I'll list at the end of my post. I am looking to apply for 2...

Thanks Jon, with regards to #1, are there schools on my list that I likely would not get an acceptance for where my application would be a stretch? I understand it's important to show all the schools why you really want to go there, why did you mention Johnson and Tuck specifically? Would you advise...

Quick question for everyone, i'm going through PS again and reviewing the math strategy, given that I have a decent grasp on the concepts is it worth the time going over the OG questions? Or should I focus on spending my time on more difficult Quant questions at this point?

When you say you went long, I know that Quants are ~2 minutes per questions. What about verbal? I mean the first RC question is always going to take you substantially longer, and SC will be much shorter.
Did you have a guideline for timeframes for each type of question?

Saw the post in your sig, awesome! And congrats! I've always been fairly even in terms of my strength in Quant vs. Verbal as you can see in my test score. As it's been awhile since I took it I'm going to need to get back into it and see where I am. It's hard to identify weaknesses because I'm kind o...

Kaplan vs. Manhattan
I wrote the GMAT in April (680 - 47/36) and I'm looking to bump my mark up about 30-40 points. The first go around I purchased the 8-pack of MGMAT books and went through them myself and did the 6 practice CATs and two official GMAC tests. My final score ended up being approximately at what I was for...

Take 10 of the math tests at gmatclub.com. They all contain 700+ level questions, so if you can get your head around those questions, you should be able to take your Quant abilities to the next level. Also, try the Powerscore CR Bible. I thought that book was top notch. I see 25 tests? Are there sp...

GMAT - Strategy for Re-taking
I wrote my first GMAT attempt in April 2011 (47/36 - 680). At this time I wrote a bunch of practice exams and was scoring around that same range so this was a fairly accurate result based on my test results at the time. I'm thinking or re-writing as I would like to increase my chances to get into Ke...
