Well, I did it... I scheduled my retake!
Got lucky today and found an open date on the 15th. I had checked a few days ago and there were no openings, but checked again today, and sure enough.
Now it is time to get geared up to go! Anybody have any encouragement to offer? It would be appreciated...
Thanks everyone

I feel LSATs are good work for CRs, as well as the MGMAT book, also very thorough.
and obviously, the MGMAT SC book.

It is very difficult on the math side of things. The verbal is very poorly worded ( I feel ).
Just be aware, if you take the Kap practice test, DO NOT put stock in your score. I scored between 560-590 on Kap and a 690 on the real thing...

I believe your score is calculated on how you did in each section as a percentile. Since a 99% is achieved at a lower score in verbal (maybe... 45?) the 45 will seem to have more "weight" then a 50 in Quant which may only translate to a 90%. Obviously, there is comparatively less competiti...

Yea, it happens all the time! The important thing to remember is - When you are done with the test - will you feel the pain of regret for not studying more? If so, realize that pushing through that apathy, and sacrificing in the short term will lead to those long term goals (i.e. 700+) Find a way to...

Congrats! Good showing!
Impressive 760 even though you never broke 710 in your prep!
Thanks for the idiom list by the way! I am reviewing it now, well worth it!
Thanks!
Best of luck in your next step!

Have you thought about Manhattan GMAT Sentence Correction?
This is supposed to be the best book out there (I have not yet bought it, so I can't say from personal experience).
Also, check out the 1000SC link in the Wiki. I believe there is one for CR as well.
Hope this is a start!

What's GMAT SETS?
Hello all, I have been around the forum (and a few others) for a while now.. I keep hearing ( in debriefs, mostly ) people discussing SETS. Now, I have seen a few threads at ScoreTop with problems, but people at TestMagic, GMATClub, and pretty much everywhere else routinely refers to sets. Seems the...

690 (Q43, V41) - Will retake.
Hello all, Just wanted to thank everyone for the contributions to this site. They have made a big difference in my prep. I took the test this morning and got a 690. I got a meager 70th percentile in quant, so I will certainly be retaking. I know everyone says 690 is good enough for a upper tier scho...

OA is D.
I took E, because although D does state that they lose money by discarding, it does not take into account the amount of money that the frigs would cost. Ie. if the fridges are very expensive to run all the time, maybe they would lose even more money then on the mini-bar.
Am I way off base?

Mini-Bar in Hotel T
Surveys reveal that the vast majority of hotel guests in the United States resent the high prices of the items in the mini-bars in their hotel rooms. These guests would prefer to have an empty refrigerator in their rooms in order to have space to put their own food and beverages, although a large per...

I have read they are a poor indicator of performance, however, wouldn't that be based on the scoring algorithm? I am asking not about how repersentative their scores are, but rather, how repersentative the questions are on an individual basis. (i.e. are these questions similar to what I can expect o...
