Do you want to go to a school that cares? Hopefully not, so maybe you'll be giving them a good test...

Thanks for the prompt response. If you put yourself in the school's shoes, it's not about what the school thinks; It's about what companies think. Though school may not care, it may be inclined to pick a side. That's what I am getting to, if it makes sense.

Thank you.

Maybe I've been living in California too long, but it doesn't seem like a big deal. My recommendation: cut the hair so that you won't have to worry about it.

I think it depends. I interviewed and was accepted with long-ish (ear length) hair and a beard and I didn't have any problems. However I talked mostly about entrepreneurship, so I imagine if I wanted to go into investment banking it would be a different story.

I will strongly recommend that you chop off your hair. A short and neat hair cut will never cause a problem but long hair may lead to issues depending on the preception of the person who takes the interview.

I also had long hair (last year) and was rejected at some job interviews inspite of a perfect profile and seemingly satisfactory interviews. I got a haircut and have been selected in every interview since then. Probably am a bit paranoid but why take a chance?
