Hello guys,
I'm currently in my 3rd year of engineering at one of the top Anna University colleges in Chennai.
Here is my profile,
10th=98%
12th=95% with highest mark in the country in Comp Science and got a recognition from the CBSE.

College GPA will end up between (7.5-8)/10

GMAT 720(Q 50 V 37)

Internships:
At an investment banking startup,
At one of the top 3 rating companies in the world,
At a big 4 audit firm,
At a Wildlife conservation organization that shared it's initials once with a wrestling company :P

Extra curriculars:
Club level badminton player,
I also play an instrument,
Quizzer,
raised money for a lot of college events,
Social service includes gathering people for blood donation camps and getting people to pledge their eyes.
Also had a failed startup company :P

I'm looking at the following programs:
ISB YLP
SP Jain
HBS 2+2
Yale Silver Scholars(chances are minuscule as around 10 students only get admitted each year)
IESE YTP
Booth Early Entry
Stanford Deferred Admission
Wharton Early Candidate

I am also keeping the MiM programs in mind and am considering the following colleges as well:
LBS
IE
HEC
Ross
Duke
Mendoza College of Business at Notre Dame
NUS
Also looking at the MPhil Management program at Judge

I'd like you to comment on my profile and provide constructive feedback, advice and what you think my chances are at the above mentioned schools.
If possible I'd like you to suggest a few admission consultants who charge reasonably as I'm going to be funding the whole application process with what I've saved and have no external help from my parents at this point of time.

IMPORTANT:I'd like to know how a GPA of 7.5-8 out of 10 would be viewed by the adcoms. The university follows absolute grading and it is tough to score.

Hi there,
You've got a lot going on for you - many activities, internships, and community work. That's very good and something that will be interesting to many target MBA programs.

I think that you've got a long list of schools - a lot of strong programs out there, but clearly a very long list - how will you find the time and energy to research all of these programs, write essays for them and make sure you get the recommendation letters submitted on time?
More focus would help you, you need to decide whether you want to study in Europe or in the US, and focus just on one place.

One of the most common questions in an MBA interview is "why now?", meaning, why are you ready to go back to school currently. This is especially true for younger candidates. Here are a few ideas on how to think about this question, which you are certain to get during your interview process.

Good luck!

Hi,

You have overall strong profile for your target schools and ideally you should target minimum 5-6 schools out of this list. Getting into college senior programs will be highly competitive but still I believe you have good chance if you put solid effort on your application essays with guidance of expert consultants. Most of the B-schools look at either GMAT or GPA to assess your academic and analytical ability. Since you have decent GMAT and GPA you can proceed with applying without any delay. Also tell us more about your career goals, post MBA/MIM which sector you want to get into, these will help us to evaluate and suggest you to right and realistic options. You can also PM your details for detailed discussion.
