Hello.

Objective:I want to know my prospect of getting admission in US Iv league University or suggestion regarding which top notch US university is best fit for me in Ms in Finance or MBA majoring in Finance Program. I am planning 2016 Round 1.

Academics:I have already given GMAT with score of 680 . But as my 1st attempt was almost unprepared for exam , I intend to give GMAT one more time with a target score of 730+
My IELTS score is 7.5 ,
My MBA and undergrad CGPA are 3.94 and 3.74 respectively from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Professional Degree:I am also a CFA .

Experience: worked for 1 year in local bank in managerial Position, then for the last 2.1 yeas , working as full time Finance Lecturer, University of Dhaka

Career Goal: short term career goal is to work as Equity Researcher in a reputed Investment firms or Capital Market related firm, then pursue PhD program in .
My long term goal is to set my own Financial Advisory and research firm that will undertake research on contemporary finance issues and provide financial advisory services.

Hi Sajib,

Since you have more than 2 yrs work experience it makes sense to focus on MBA rather than MS programs. Based on your career goals you should target B-schools like Chicago Booth, Wharton, NYU Stern, Columbia. These schools are highly ambitious so you can also consider some realistic B-schools which are known for finance like Tepper, Iowa-Tippie, Rochester Simon, SMU Cox, Rotman. Prepare well for GMAT and target 730+ and start early and give more time to prepare solid application essays. Let me know if you have any questions.

Right now your GMAT is too low for most top programs. I would focus on improving that before even considering applying.
