Hi Hanu,

Your GMAT score is definitely competitive. It will be difficult to evaluate your profile without having information about the details about your both the work experiences and your extra curricular activities.

With your GMAT score and your proposed school list, you should be fine. Of course it does depend on many other aspects of your profile.

There are two things I do like though: The automotive sector is a very large and interesting one, and one oddly enough that we don't see toooo many candidates come from, so coming from a unique industry can be a nice advantage to you. Secondly, family businesses can be GREAT to help you get accepted, because there are few things that BSchools like more than training the "heir apparent." Of course, this works better the bigger and more successful your family business is, but in general it's a very good place to start from.

Hi,

Your candidature looks pretty good and better than other applicants from India to these kind of programs. Most applicants from India have 0-8 months of experience and mostly in technology. So, your automobile and retail experience will help you.

Make sure that you select the programs carefully because unlike MBA programs where curriculum is generally similar Masters programs do very a lot depending on the university and location.
