Hi All,

I have total of 4.5 years of work exp and from past 2 years in US. I am working for one of the IT companies for their client in US. I do not have strong extra curricular activites into my bucket but i am targeting ISB to get admitted next year i.e for 2016 batch. What all things should i start focussing on to improve the candidature strong when the extra curricular activities and achivements are concerned? Any help is highly appreciated.

Rohit,

I always discourage candidates from indulging in hobbies/ECs just to fill up the MBA application. Instead, do stuff that you like AND which can help strengthen your application. This can mean becoming say a corporate tennis champion, a non-profit stint or writing articles for newspapers/magazines. Ideally, the hobby/EC you pursue should have some external recognition/impact for it to carry weight in a bschool application. Reading, though you may do it vociferously, may not cut it for this reason.

A bit broad I know, but difficult to give suggestions based on limited details in your post.
