Advice on where to apply

by Freddy Bobic » Sat Dec 08, 2012 11:07 pm
Hi guys,

I would really appreciate some guidance on which B school to apply. Here is my profile:

1.)Indian Male(28yo) with a Double Major in Engineering and Computer Science (Honours)from Australia.
2.)GMAT- 710
3.)Work Ex- 5 years
- 2 years in Australia, managed three multi-million dollar projects.
- 2 years in startup in India. Managed a team of 8 and took it from zero revenue to $6000/month in seven months.
- In the last one year, have started up my venture. Have snared two deals worth a combined $100,000 but now need to do an MBA as I want to expand my company nationally and internationally.

My dream school was Harvard but I realize that it is merely a dream. I would really appreciate some advice on other top schools that give a chance to entrepreneurs(outside of Babson). The schools I am considering now are Kellogg, Sloan, Tuck, and Cornell. Am I even an outside chance at these schools?

Cheers!

Hi Freddy Bobic and thanks for your post!

You absolutely do have a shot at many of the business schools you've mentioned below. Your profile is solid, but you'll need to do work to make it outstanding for top programs.
The programs you've chosen as a starter list vary broadly in terms of competitiveness and program strength. I'd want to know much more about what your goals are, how you feel you can stand out from your peers, and when you plan to apply.
Feel free to contact us at [email protected] for a more detailed, free initial assessment.
Best,
