GMAT GPA conversion

by targetGMAT123 » Thu Jan 15, 2015 9:32 am
Hi,

I graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a CGPA of 7.1.
What should be my GPA after conversion?
Please suggest.

Regards,
Roy

Hey there, for MBA programs, most schools just ask for your raw GPA and the proper context/relative scale used to grade it. You don't need to provide them with a conversion - they'll review it and evaluate it by their own standards. Hope this helps! If they do ask, you can use the WES conversion scale which is most common but in the optional essay drop a quick couple of lines providing context. So, for example, let's say you graduated with a 66% and that converts to something terrible, but it put you as the 3rd out of 30 in your degree. You should mention that!
