I'd like to run an informal poll to see how many people are seriously interested in applying for the 2007 Beat The GMAT Annual Scholarship, http://www.beatthegmat.com/scholarship/

Thanks! I hope many of you decide to apply since the prizes are so fantastic!

I think it's no harm if I answer it in public.
so here we go:
I did some sort of casual survey about the scholarship and people's interest in it.

What I found out is people who are actually preparing for GMAT right now have already run half of their way, many have already joined some coaching or hired private tutor. So they are bit reluctant for applying.

And those who have not started journey... (well they are suppose to be our target) are uncertain about their long term plan. They dont know ABC of GMAT... Confused

Nevertheless I suggest you to have some patience, it's natural human tendency to rush the last minute and apply on the closing day Neutral

I think your assessment is right--probably most of the apps will come in during the last week. I hope so!

One incentive for submitting earlier--I can review your app and provide feedback to you if you are missing a part of the application, or didn't follow one of the rules. Then you can resubmit!

So send in your stuff earlier than May 6. Smile

Haha--I can't guarantee that I'll be able to do this for all submissions--but if you submit signficantly earlier than deadline, then I may be able to provide feedback. It will be comments like "you went over the word limit here".

Again, no guarantees, but I'll let you re-submit once if you get the essays in to me by April 20.

Thanks!

Last chance--my offer to provide some early feedback on essay submissions ends tomorrow!

To set expectations, my feedback will not include critiques of your essays, but rather substantiation that you have met the requirements to be a candidate for this competition.

Thanks!
