Anyone know a quick way to get the formula?

I don't see more formula perhaps except.
Rate=Work/Time

They tell you:
A: time to make the job for one of the ten machine.
10/A=1/16
A=160
So it takes 160h for only one machine to finish the task.

Only 8 machines give you:
8*(1/160)=1/20

So it takes 20hours.

I feel I explain poorly, find other work problem on the forum it will help you.

formula is same......Amount= rate * time...

10 machines =16 hr.
for 8 machines = X hr.

so ... M1 * T1= M2 * T2

T2 = (M1*T1)/ M1
= 10*16 / 8
= 20....
