Sid66,
Your academic profile (test score/ GPA) is definitely competitive. Though, your current role is on the research side, which traditionally does not offer many avenues for roles such as leadership and teamwork. So, you need to carefully consider what parts of your profile you want to project in your essays in order to convey a consistent and strong candidature.
It's always difficult to pick schools and say that you've better chance at few of them. Broadly, I will say Kellogg and Booth will be stretch, while others will be in the target group.

Dear Sid66:
Admit Pitch's take on your profile:
a) academics: Very strong - this definetly is a big plus. If you can work hard to get a decent GMAT (within the class average), you will clear the academic hurdle
b) work ex: not many people work on complex SBI+TCS project (we understand this well). Also the amazing outlook on oil&gas in very interesting - these areas definetly help you to present your case well in application
c) extra curriculars: this is very brief - we need to understand the roles, initiatives and passion behind the same
However, other key areas which are important are: career goals, why MBA and why specific program will present impressive picture of you. Based on this some of the school names can be better fit over others.

Which Indian university did you graduate from as an undergraduate? The competitiveness of this school bears on your admissions chances.
Assuming you went to an NIT, IIT or equivalent, I would say that Tepper is closer to a safety school; Cornell, Darden, Fuqua and Ross are more target schools and Kellogg and Booth are stretch schools. Given your energy goals, you should add Haas to the mix. (https://mba.haas.berkeley.edu/academics/energy.html)
Look at essay overlap when determining number of schools. So, for example if you added UCLA Anderson you would not be writing another essay (since you had already completed the goals question).
INSEAD is an excellent feeder into a consulting career.
Good luck,
