Hi abhasjha,

This SC is ultimately about modification and style.

1) Modification/style: When referencing a percentage, a sentence must present "of what." Most of the wrong answers in this SC present a percentage but do not include the necessary information to "complete" the thought. Eliminate A, D and E.

2) Comparison/style: The info in this prompt compares data from today to data from a decade ago, so we must use parallel format to present this information. Answer B includes some non-parallel format issues ("today" is in the wrong place; "when it was" is redundant and vague). Eliminate B.

Final Answer: C
