the perimeter of a certain isoscles right triangle is 16 + 16[radical sign]2. what is the length of the hypotenuse of the triangle?

answer is 16

Sides of an isoscles right-angle triangle are in the ratio 1:1:root-2

x + x + x*root-2 = 16 + 16*root-2

Solving for x, we get 8*root-2

So, the hypotenuse is 8*root-2*root-2 = 16
