Dear donnknow,
I would say it is a pretty large hurdle for you to get accepted to a top 15 with no real work experience and no acceptable reason for it. You will need a high GMAT score to be considered by any program as well as some sort of professional work experience. It would also be a good idea for you to come up with a better story as to why you have not worked much beyond the fact you are a "time waster". I would suggest sticking to schools in the 30-50 range assuming you get at least a 680 on your GMAT. If you score below a 680, then you might need to find a solid, regional program that might not be highly ranked.
Best of luck,

dear Lisa Anderson
thnx for your kind reply
i would like to say i never meant applying without experience
but my intention is to ask is like ths -
a normal student starts wrking at 23 and at 28 applies 2 to b school
if i start wrking at 26 and applies after 2 3 or even say 5 years,,will this gap between 23-26 will be so bad that no matter what i do in next years nothing cld cover up things !!!??? |

If you secure about 3 years of professional experience and show career progression during that time, then you will improve your application. However, you will still need to explain the gaps in employment you currently have.
Good luck,
