| i see some questions which ask about the mood of the author. and one of them is usually qualified approval ? |

Hi TKneo,
Qualified approval means that author would accept a point if certain conditions are met.
For eg. If the passage says 'Cycling is very good exercise for people who are not heart patients.For heart Patients cycling would be harmful.'.
Now you see that author is approving cycling as a good exercise for people who are not heart patients. So he is accepting this fact based on one condition. Such approvals fall under 'qualified approval' category.
