|
|
Hi there, I am taking my GMAT next month and regarding the AWA, must we write in American English or UK English? For e.g. aeroplane (UK) vs. airplane (US), cheque (UK) vs. check (US).
I suppose since the GMAT is an American-based exam, I should be following the US spelling? Would I penalized if I use UK English or a mixture? Any comments? |

gmac.com says: Your essay scores are based on the overall quality of
your ideas about the issue and argument presented; your overall ability to organize, develop, and express those ideas; the relevant supporting reasons and examples you use; and your ability to control the
elements of standard written English. (Only standard American English characters may be used when entering your essay responses.)
Best wishes,

Hi, Thanks! I will have to remind myself to spend some time to check if I am using American English.
Any resource out there to identify some of the common differences between American and UK English? |
