I gave the GMAT couple of hours back. I scored 600 (Q: 50, V: 24)

I am definetly not shocked as i scored the below on my practice tests, but little dissapointed as something in the range of 640-66 would be great for me

MGMAT1 - 610
MGMAT2- 650
MGMAT3 - 590
MGMAT5 - 650
KAPLAN1 - 570
KAPLAN2 - 570
GMATPREP1 - 570
GMATPREP2 - 610

I want to apply to the part-time MBA program. Can anyone tell me if i would be eligible with these scores and if i need to take the test again.

List of schools:
University of Georgia
Georgia State University
Georgia Tech University
Emory University

My Profile:

Work Experience - 2.5 years as Business Analyst in Supply Chain industry
Masters in Software Engineering at University of Missouri

Regards,
Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,
You can have my verbal score if I can have your quant score Wink
No, seriously, there is a large discrepancy between your verbal and quant scores. I am certain that you can bring up your verbal score considerably.
Have you looked at MGMAT's sentence correction book? If I were you I would get a tutor (that is what I am doing for math).
You can totally raise your score, so if you want to retake then do as I think it would be worth your while.
Loads of luck and congrats - 600 is a good score!
Vanessa

Hi Vanessa

MATH was pretty tough and i got more than i expected. Especially after i saw two sitters as Q13 and Q14; and it gave me a feeling that i am on the wrong side

Q13 was (4+1/4)^2 - (4-1/4)^2

Q14 was 1/5 + 1/sqrt2

I was saw tensed after seeing Q14 that i blanked out and spent 7 minutes on it.

Also at one point from Q23 to Q30; i got 8 DS in a row and none of them were (e) for the answer which is a rarity in GMAT

So if anybody comes across simple questions - just get them right quickly and don't panic
