A bit different than some of the other blogs on this forum, GMATmastery.com is not a daily log of my studies for the test. Rather, its a reflection on the tools and techinques that I used to get a 760 on the GMAT. I'm a student at Columbia Business School now, and thought I would create this quick site to share a few of my insights regarding the admissions test.
My main strategy was to seek resources outside the Kaplan and Princeton Review guides. I really emphasized the verbal part, since that was my weakness going in. I read a textbook on critical reasoning, which I review on the site, along with a short book on Logic and one called "How to Lie with Statistics." Combined with some pretty intense studying of the standard / official guides, I actually turned verbal into my strength, earning 97th percentile there, vs. 90th for quantitative.
If you have any questions about the test, please visit my site and contact me. |
