Geometry - Triangles

This is a GMAC practice test question. Can anyone help with how to calculate an answer. (I'll say sorry now for the sad little diagram attached).

In the figure attached, the measure of angle PRS is how many degrees greater than the measure of the angle PQR?

1) the measure of angle PQR is 30 degrees
2) the sum of the measure of angles PQR and PRQ is 150 degrees

Hi, i think the answer is b.

stmt 1:: just gives the <PQR , so not sufficient.

stmt 2:: this gives the sum of <pqr and <prq.

So from this you get the measure of <prq = 150 - <pqr.

So <PRS = 180 - <prq = 180 - 150 + <pqr> <prs - <pqr = 30.

ikant, thanks for your answer, really good to see it laid out like that.
The actual answer is D as statements 1 and 2 can lead you to the same information.

Statement one also provides enough information because PQR is 30 degrees therefore in the triangle PQR the sum of angles PQR and QRP = 180-30=150 (same infor as statement B)

The correct answer is indeed D.

Sorry to bump an old thread.
According to the information given above, correct answer is (B).
One can't infer sum of angles PQR and QRP = 180-30=150 from Statement (1) which says that the measure of angle PQR is 30 degrees.

I checked and the correct Statement 1 actually reads - "QPR is 30º".
For this, answer is (D)
