|

I just finished the 50 practice questions in CR with 43 correct. lack of attention in a couple . rest 5 were really hard...
I took an average of 1 min 50s to 2 min approx for each question.. I think it's not fast enough. I am not sure if this is an area where one can increase the speed by leaps and bounds...
I just want to know if i am particularly slow and how are other people doing on it ? So what's your speed ? |

Can you describe your approach to attacking CR questions? Maybe sharing this can give us some insights on how to improve your speed... _________________ Eric

I read the question first so i know what to look for. If its an assumption Q, or strengthen or weaken then as i read the passage i try to find assumptions ...
If i can find out the assumption i look for it in the answer choices. Otherwise i go through each answer choice and see if it was an assumption...
But if it's an inference question then i just read the passage trying to grasp the evidence and conclusion. Then i read each answer choice to see if it can be an inference ! |

This seems like a good approach. Have you found your pacing improve as you've gone through more and more practice sets? Pacing takes a lot of practice... _________________ Eric

Yeah the average has considerably improved over time without affecting the accuracy.. However thats only for the questions that are not in the "very hard" category. For those hard questions i don't think i am doing as well both in terms of time and accuracy. I just blank out on those ... May be i reach my mental ability when it comes to those extra hard ones... |
