cks:

(1), (2) & (3) would give you a parabola profile where x-> inifinity also
holds true and hence we donot have finite length.

(4) gives you two lines segments.
2<= x <= 5
-5<= x <= -2

(5) gives you a line segment -2/3 <= x <= 2/3.
