Eric, many thanks for a great resource
Related questions:
"When answer choices have variables in them, start from the LAST choice and work back to the first." ...why?
"Start with Choice (E) and work back to (A) when backsolving from the answer choices."...again why?
Thanks

Hi Chris:
I can't remember where I read this strategy, but the general idea is that answer choices with a lot of variables take a lot of time to process, if you go through each one. Thus, the GMAT may be able to trap you into taking a lot of time by listing the correct answer choice in the D or E position, if the test expects you to go through each answer choice from A to E in that order. The same idea works with backsolving questions--these take a lot of time and the test may try to trap you into wasting time.
Please take this tip with a grain of salt--I haven't seen much data to support this theory, but it seems to make sense to me from a testmaker perspective.
Good luck! _________________ Eric
