It's great to find this resource. Thanks Eric and all those who add to this website. I'm crappy at aptitude tests (and taking tests in general), but have made it through an undergrad with honors and a masters in info systems.
Now, I'm going to try to get into a PhD in business...that is if I can get through this gmat!!! _________________ I'm not smart, but I'm dedicated and trying. |

I can't read all the threads; there are too many of them. But just wanted to clarify, are all the flashcards updated at this point?
A BUNCH OF THANKS! |

|
|
I noticed on DS techniques that you said, 1/2 the time A and B are both insufficient. In other words, 1/2 the time E is the correct choice?
In a later flashcard it says, for harder DS questions, don't pick E if you have to guess. Pick A or C if you can eliminate B. A is traditionally chosen more.
In other words, on the easier DS questions *hysterical laugh inserted here*, the answer is more typically E but on the harder questions it is more likely to be A or C if B is not a choice. And more typically A than C.
More importantly, where did this info come from and is it reliable?
Can you tell I have been working on DS all day. I am starting to sound like them. |

That last post was from me, but for some reason it was trying to make me log in again. I have logged in several times now, so let's see if my ID makes it this time _________________ Past performance is not indicative of future success! |

These notes were gathered from a variety of sources while I was prepping for my GMAT. I can't confirm where I found the information specific to DS, so take it with a grain of salt--it did help me though for my guessing strategy on the test.
Best of luck! _________________ Eric

Is what I wrote accurate? I am only asking because the comments are contradictory if you are looking at DS as a whole. But if the easy ones are more than likely E and the more difficult ones are more likely A or C then it makes more sense.
Is that kind of what you are saying? _________________ Past performance is not indicative of future success! |

When I wrote "half the time...", I was referring to DS in general--but I probably meant easy and medium questions specifically. My latter point to "not pick E" was specific to difficult DS questions.
I could be wrong, but these were the notes I gathered at the time; again, take these tips with a grain of salt for your guessing strategy.
Thanks for asking though! _________________ Eric
