hey everybody............ gave THE exam yesterday......... and i m extremely satisfied to tell you buddies that ive completed GMAT invasion.... Very Happy ... the score breakup Q50 V38............

My testing experience and other experiences are similar to the "debreifs" that other people write(yes! i was a silent lurker till now, and ive read nearly every good debreif on every major forum)................. I wish to present my "debreif" in a slightly different manner.... Cool ........Since ive been preparing for GMAT for nearly 7 months now and have seriosly thought about MBA for like 1.5 years now, i consider myself in pretty good position to answer all your questions from a student's perspective ( i am not trying to act like a bond or something but my intentions are good: just that i believe that a "debrief" can only tell your experiences, not actually help people much)............ i'd be really happy to help anyone who wants it..... Razz ....... just ask away for anything you need in your quest for GMAT............ If humanly possible ill be there to help..... Laughing

good luck and enjoy life........... Wink

You started this thread for taking queries & guess I'm messing here Wink

PS: I think btG members like to put their queries in Strategy section & they mostly come here to read debreifings.
If you wish to help us beating the GMAT pls join in.
Thanks.
would be greatful Smile

nah..... jus having fun pal.... i dont think that if you've read 8-10 debriefs, you can get anything new by reading debriefs, all look very similar to each other.....& that's the only reason for not writing a debrief...... just my 2 cents..... if anyone would still like to know wot hpnd with me and stuff, id be pleasured to write a debrief......... Very Happy

Congrats on your score!

What is your recommendation for approaching the Quant section and scoring well? Do you come from a Quant background?

Thanks a lot,

Tom

yes bro......... fortunately i do come from a quant background
there is no such strategy as such but work on accuracy before you work on speed...... and yes.... do the gmatprep at least 4-5 times so that you exhaust its bank.......... Wink

CONGRATS! What a fantastic performance!

It's nice to see the third member of Beat The GMAT (joined April 9, 2006) to do so well on the test. All the best!

Congratulations on the score.

I have a question - I too got a Q50 and V38. But my score is 730.

Is the time one takes to complete the section considered in computing the score ?

Nope--scores can depend on the day you take the test and the performance of other test takers for the given day.
