720... not crying, but definitely gonna take it again.
i actually thought i aced the math, but 51 is pretty far from 60.
i'm VERY weak when it comes to reading/writing/words and things of that nature... UGH
but scoring over 700 was definitely a good feeling.
was a silent reader of this forum, but i guess it's time to post.
How I Prepared:
- 4 weeks prior to exam, bought the Orange Book
- Did the Orange Book over a course of 2 weeks
- Did the GMATPrep practice tests twice each (600, 760, 700, 760)
- Took the Test
- As far as math is concerned, all you need to know is basic concepts and understand problems, not memorize things. A deep level of understanding and logic is all that matters... books didn't do much
*** HOW DO I IMPROVE MY VERBAL?
any tips would be really appreciated!!!
GOING TO RETAKE IN 1 MONTH... NEED TO INCREASE VERBAL SKILL (i'm a native English speaker too which makes it even more sad)
if anybody could give me serious pointers of getting 35 to at least 40 or so... i'd love you |

First, congrats on your score. Excellent job.
Manhattan SC book is a start for SC. For RC and CR, I would buy the OG verbal guide and read through every explanation to begint o formulate an idea of what the test makers thought processes are behind the answers. This will help you narrow down answers quicker and you can begin to develop an answer on CR before looking at the choices. |

Killer Q Score!
No one gets a 60 in math. 51 is the highest I have seen. I believe a pair of 51s would get you an 800 if not, very close. A 51Q 40V would be in the 750/760 range. I got a 49Q 41V and got a 730, so I think if you just focus on verbal you are money! Manhattan SC is amazing!!! Kaplan has a great strategy for RC and CR. OG is great for practice but the questions are too easy and the explanations are weak!

yup, it seems like a unanimous decision from everyone else i've asked.
if my Q and V were reversed, i'd be in trouble though because of the competitiveness of Q
Just got my official scores today
Got a 5.0 on AWA |
