i do agree with you in general terms. but you just cant ignore the fact that ave. starting sal of a fresh BE CHEM is ~4000 Rs. whereas ave IT guy's earn ~16000 Rs. in the beginning of his career. _________________ JohnyCAGE's

Hmmm...I am not sure whether this is accurate..looks a bit skewed to me...
Perhaps a more appropriate way to put the details would be that the salary of a fresh BE/B.Tech Chem STARTS from Rs.4000 (i.e 4k is the lower limit)...
Cant imagine 4k as an average...sounds too low to me
