Thanks for your submissions, everyone--the deadline to submit has officially passed, and we will no longer be accepting applications.
The winners will be announced on this forum on May 20.
Now, we have a LOT of reading to do (50 applications received!). _________________ Eric

| This might be asking for a lot, but is it possible to get some feedback for our essays? |

Hi Neo:
This question has been asked before--unfortunately, we won't be able to provide feedback: (1) the volume of applications is too high, and (2) there are some small legal issues with providing this kind of feedback.

Unfortunately, we can't disclose the criteria we're using to judge candidates. I can say that we do have a set of factors we look for in each applicant to judge merit. _________________ Eric

About 15--but then again, the prizes were worth about $300 total. Very different from this year. _________________ Eric

We're making good progress on the applications. We've had to make some difficult choices to filter down our 50 applicants.
The results will be posted on this Forum before 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time on Sunday, May 20. Can't provide specifics other than that.
