Hi all,

I have been studying for the GMAT for the past 2 months. I solved the OG, the Official Verbal Review, the IR questions that came with the OG and Manhattan IR questions. I gave 2 MGMAT tests and yet I have been able to score only 630(Q=42, V=34) and 650(Q=47 V=32) in them, and my IR scores too are low in both (3.89 and 3.74 respectively). I have no idea what is going wrong, and I don't know what else I can do to improve my score. I mean I know MGMAT is tough, but I still think these scores are way too low.

I even preponed my GMAT date from Nov 10 to Oct 19, as my preparation was almost over. Now I have exactly 14 days left ! (Postponing it again would be really weird). Please help !

Take a GMATPrep mock and then decide. I have never crossed 640 in MGMAT tests, but my GMATPrep scores have gone all the way to 750. Even after scoring a 680 in the actual test, I haven't gone past 640 yet in MGMAT tests :) Take other test prep mock scores with a grain of salt. Useful to get the taste of testing experience and to know your strong/weak areas.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.

Thanks !

When I took the first GMAT Prep Mock, without any preparation whatsoever, just like that, I got 660 there (Q=49, IR=8). So I guess MGMAT really is tough, I will give the other one now I guess, to see where I am !

Thanks again !

GMAT prep gives you actual score with some tolerance , MGMAT is tough

Quants is not bad score, But you need to improve your verbal score upto atleast 43 to maximize your chances to top b-schools.
Start focus on topic by topic and try to know which area is weak?
GMAT prep is all about focus on weak areas.
While solving OG Questions, try to do post-mortern the question i.e., analyze the question and choice on how to eliminate the wrong choice rather than looking into right choice. Develop this attitude on all Verbal questions.. Best of Luck
