Partners and spouses support

by thibaut_france » Fri Oct 05, 2007 7:42 am
Dear Amy,

Thanks for your help.

I would like to make another question regarding spouses.

I have a fiancee who will accompany me in my stay in the US MBA. In principle I will assist to a top MBA.

I have heard and read about clubs which organise language courses, parties, and so on, but my fiancee is really interested in obtaining quality education which would help her to improve her qualifications.

I would like to know if Bschools provide some kind of support to spouses in order to attend to other graduate programs, courses, etc. at that university or at a related university. If schools send their offers in March to us applicants, it is quite difficult for the spouse to find those courses and it would lead to an almost blank year.

Therefore I would like to know if the support provided by BSchools goes beyond just merely seending information, or they can help an spouse to get into a real university program.

Thanks

Thibaut

They absolutely may provide help getting your spouse settled (especially if you are married by then). If they want you in the program they will be motvated to help. Youw ill have to take it school by school however. There is no blanket statement that can apply to each school.
