G'Day | 16-Aug

by amkohl » Wed May 16, 2012 7:08 am
Folks,

I am an IT professional and few days back I booked my exam date on 16-Aug-12, exactly 3 months from now.

Is this time sufficient for the preparation?

What should be the strategy (hours per day) and which books I should refer.

Appreciate all relevant inputs.

Cheers!

Hi, there! I'm happy to help. :)

First of all, on the Magoosh blog, we have a variety of three-month study plans:
a) Beginner in everything: https://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/3-month-gm ... beginners/
b) Strong in verbal, need math help: https://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/3-month-gm ... h-focused/
c) Strong in math, need verbal help: https://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/3-month-gm ... l-focused/
d) Already strong in both verbal & math: https://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/3-month-gm ... -students/

Also, you will need to learn about the Integrated Reasoning section. Fortunately, Magoosh just released a free ebook about IR, which is available here:
https://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/gmat-integ ... ing-ebook/
That's a thorough introduction, especially if you don't know much about IR yet.

You may find the free Magoosh blog a source of valuable information, and if you are going to buy a single prep source, I don't think you can get more value for your money anywhere else.

I hope all this is helpful. Let me know if you have any questions.

Mike :)
