yes many blogsites offer free blog space.

Many popular GMAT related blogs like Dave for mba, Beat the GMAT and many non popular blogs like beating GMAT & beyond Wink :p dont pay for publishing their blog their blog-hosts (in our case : www.blogspot.com )

check the above mentioned site and register yourself.
I am also non techie... i dont know any html / php /java of whatever...
thanks to new blogspot you can do everything (like posting your fav link in right hand column ) with ease
