New York Schools

I am planning a visit to NYU and CBS soon and would like to get some feedback on...

1. How these two stack up in terms of their local reputation?

2. What people think of their facilities / campus?

NYU and Columbia are both excellent schools with outstanding facilities. You will see that for yourself when you are there. As for reputation, they are ranked 8th and 9th in the country. Their reputations are sparkling. Either school would give you an excellent education and an outstanding career foundation. You need to focus on the atmosphere and the curriculum.

If you know what you want to do after your MBA, think about your dream employers. See which school they go to for interviews and from which school they tend to hire new MBAs. The schools should give you an idea of where their graduates are working. Talk to current students as much as possible. Many of them will have chosen one school over the other at some point and their thinking could help you.

In the end, if you have to decide between offers from the two schools - you can't blow it! Either one would be a fantastic opportunity.

Good luck,
Tani Wolff
