For all positive integers m, (m) (with a box around it) = 3m when m is odd and (m) (box around it) = 1/2m when m is even. Which is the equal to (9) X (6)? () = box

A)81
B)54
C)36
D)27
E)18

Thanks I read that. I still don't understand why it is 27 and not 81. Doesn't appear that was explained in that thread either.

Hi,
[9]x[6] = 27*3 = [27]
The values is 81, but the options are not 81,54,36,27,18 but [81],[54],[36],[27],[18]

Hence, D
