Hi everyone,
I have read the posts and loved this community for very long but seeking advice w.r.t my MBA plans for the first time. Hoping to get some good help.
I am an Indian male, aged 33, a CFA L3 candidate with 11-12 years of experience across Investment Banking, Equity Research and Financial Advisory at well respected firms. I have a GMAT score of 710 (Q47; V40; AWA 4) but a very low IR score of 1 as other than doing little practice and attempting no full mocks at all due to time constraints, I also made a misjudgement on time on the IR section. I am looking to switch to either Private Equity/Asset Management or Consulting. I am a part time fitness instructor, associated with charities and also deliver lectures on behavioural/leadership at universities. I am targeting Oxford Said, Cambridge Judge, NUS, HKUST and ISB (depending on my target cities, specialties of these colleges and a relatively older class).
A few questions:
1) Are any of these school choices not appropriate (esp. NUS, ISB)? Any others that would make a strong case for my profile/aspirations?
2) I'm planning to take GMAT again for a higher score (particularly in IR). Is it advisable to apply with the existing score and note in the application that I would be re-sitting the test, in the interest of not missing the closer deadline (In particular for the two UK colleges for which 3rd out of 5-6 deadlines is nearer)
Thanks much
