Hi All,
I'm looking to apply in R1 at three top schools. I need a plan for it. Tried googling it but found everything except clarity and simplicity. Need help ASAP.

Hi Matt,
I'd suggest working with an admissions consultant (at least for your first app). A consultant can seriously help you structure your essays & strategy. If you can't afford a consultant then the next best thing is to buy Avi Gordon's book MBA Admissions Strategy. I've read a lot of MBA admissions literature and highly recommend this book.

If you are able to internalize and then act on all his advice you'll be fine - the thing is that people often lack enough perspective on themselves to do so effectively.
Best & Happy 4th of July,
Leah

Hi Matt,
If you are planning to apply top 3 B-Schools, first thing check out the deadlines of every B-School. Start working on essay drafts of B-School which deadline is very close compared to other ones. Don't delay in approaching your recommenders. Remember first B-School application essays will take more time compared to your rest 2 B-School applications. Make all your transcripts ready. You may also approach the alumni/current batch students of your targeted B-Schools through forums or by visiting school. If you have any specific question related to your profile or application do not hesitate to write to the adcom.
Get your essays reviewed from peers, friends or professional consultants before submitting your application to make our case strong in front of the admissions committee.
If you would like to know more details or would like to have your profile evaluation done, you may PM with your queries.
If you happen to based out of Bangalore, you may also attend the MBA information session organized by Ivy League B-School graduates and ISB admissions director. On spot registrations are also available. For registration visit https://bit.ly/1jhdwqm
Hope that helps.
Cheers!

Hi Matt!
I used the book Your MBA Game Plan when I was applying and found it to be quite helpful without giving information overload: https://www.amazon.com/Your-Game-Plan-Th ... 601631820/
If you're looking for some expert / paid help, I invite you to consider having a Deep Dive Profile Review with me. It's an intensive one-hour strategy session during which we set up your application process-whether you plan to get more coaching or plan to do it yourself.
You can read more here: https://theartofapplying.com/dive/
It is very easy to get overwhelmed with the amount of information online about getting into a top business school. If it's in your budget, I suggest choosing an admissions consultant to help demystify the process for you and keep you on track.
Of course not everyone can afford a consultant (I couldn't when I applied) and I still put my best bet on reaching out to recent alumni and current students who may be willing to take time out of their busy schedule to give you some advice and feedback.
Best of luck with your process!
