as each of the 12 players scored minimum of 7 points; therefore minimum score of a team in which each of the 12 players contributed 7 points each is 7*12=84; now the left over points are 16; now as we want a maximum score that an individual player might have scored therefore we will give that 16 left over points to one of the players; therefore maximum points would be 7+16=23 hence Ealltimeacheiver wrote:A basketball team composed of 12 players scored 100 points in a particular contest.
