The resume is one of the most important parts of your application. More often than not, it's the first thing an admissions director reviews when your application hits their desk. In most cases, it's the only part of your application an interviewer sees before sitting down with you. So do you want it to just tell them what you do every day or do you want to share your most meaningful accomplishments? Probably the latter, right?

Impact and accomplishment are proxies for a host of key themes your application should convey. They are what set you apart from other candidates. You might have spent a day every week running reports for management but that isn't going to be what gets you into your dream programs. However, what if in one of those reports you noticed an opportunity that you presented to the executive team which drove millions in benefit? Well, that's worth sharing!

So dig deeper and showcase your impact. Find the experiences and outcomes that help you stand out! Oh - and make sure you use numbers to quantify your impact!

When you have your resume drafted, remember - an experienced 2nd perspective can go a long way! At Critical Square, Our Resume Editing service marries your story, messaging, and accomplishments into a narrative that'll leave the adcom wanting more! Learn more [here]!
